Rivers Casino and how this guide works
The casino on Hardin Street, Rivers Casino, is a place you walk into, and its own pages name no online games. Because online play in Alberta follows separate rules, and because this guide carries paid links, both get a plain explanation on this page.

Who runs online play in Alberta
Two bodies divide the work in Alberta's regulated market for online gaming. AGLC acts as the regulator, while the Alberta iGaming Corporation, known as AiGC, is in charge of managing the market. To operate lawfully, an operator registers with AGLC, enters an operating agreement with AiGC and has to limit play to people physically located in Alberta.
The directory of authorised online sites is kept by AiGC at abigaming.ca/players/registered-igaming-sites. Any site missing from that list sits outside the regulated market. A second sign worth checking for is the AiGC logo, which authorised sites display.
Run by AGLC, PlayAlberta.ca is Alberta's own provincial online gaming site, and the money it earns ends up with the Government of Alberta. Gambling of any kind in this province requires being 18.
The paid links on the home page
Paid links appear only on this guide's home page, each labelled Ad. The three are a button in the menu, a block below the first screen and another block near the end. Every one points to a single private online casino partner that pays the guide a commission; that partner goes unnamed here and may change.
The guide does not vouch for it. To see whether an online site is authorised in Alberta, check the AiGC directory at abigaming.ca/players/registered-igaming-sites. Links to Rivers Casino, AGLC, the municipality and help services are never paid.
Written by the Front Steps crew
The Front Steps crew writes and signs this guide as a group, without any personal byline. The guide is neither a casino nor the site of Rivers Casino, its owners or AGLC. No bets are taken here, and there are no accounts and no cashier. Facts were checked on October 14, 2026 against riverscasino.ca, AGLC, the Winner's Edge site, Alberta's help services and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. All times are in Mountain time.
The site has no forms, accounts or ad trackers. Its calculators work inside the browser and send nothing. A light or dark theme choice is kept only for the open tab. The young woman in the pictures is a character drawn with an image generator. She is not a real person, not a member of the casino staff and not the author.
Questions from first-timers
Can you play at Rivers Casino from your couch?
The games at Rivers Casino are on its floor at 9825 Hardin St. downtown. This guide is not the casino's site either, and it takes no bets.
How do you check an online site in Alberta?
Look it up in the AiGC directory at abigaming.ca/players/registered-igaming-sites. A site that is not listed there is not part of the regulated market. Authorised sites also show the AiGC logo.
Who is the woman in the pictures?
She is a character drawn for this guide with an image generator, not a real person. She is not on the casino staff and is not the author. The pictures show no real room of the casino and no logos.
